Her commitment to high-quality, compassionate care shines in her role with our sister-led team at Twin Smiles Orthodontics.
Dr. Amelia’s journey in orthodontics started with a B.S. in Economics and Chinese at the University of Utah. She earned her dental degree in 2016 and orthodontic degree in 2018 from Oregon Health & Science University in Portland, Oregon. Eager to evolve, she continues refining her approaches as a dedicated specialist in orthodontics in Palo Alto. Dedicated to education, Dr. Amelia’s research is published in the esteemed American Journal of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics.
In her family life, Dr. Amelia cherishes moments with her husband and two young daughters. Their closely-knit bond with Dr. Sydney’s family involves spending quality time together, fostering lifelong connections among their children.
Outside the office and family commitments, Dr. Amelia finds solace in nature. An avid hiker, she seizes every opportunity to explore the outdoors. Known for her love of all things sweet, especially pastries, she shares her home with an adorable canine companion named Tuna.
While orthodontics is a professional passion, Dr. Amelia’s true joy is cultivating relationships. Sydney Stoker, DMD, MS
Dr. Sydney Stoker – Specialist in Orthodontics
Meet Dr. Sydney Stoker, our orthodontic maestro who conducts every smile with precision and flair. She is Board Certified and a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics, which basically means she’s a black belt in straightening teeth.
She loves using her creativity and attention to detail to help her patients become healthier and more confident. Dr. Sydney became interested in orthodontics because of its unique blend of artistry and science. But most of all, she loves the relationships that she gets to develop with patients and the community.
She attended Grinnell College in Grinnell, Iowa for her undergraduate study where she graduated with a B.A. in Economics and played midfield on the soccer team. Dr. Sydney received her dental degree from Oregon Health & Science University and began her professional career as a general dentist. After practicing family dentistry for a few years she moved to Denver where she completed her residency in orthodontics at the University of Colorado. A fellowship in craniofacial orthodontics at Stanford University prompted her and her husband to make the move to the Bay Area.
Dr. Sydney is a life-long learner with a passion for functional advances in orthodontic methods and techniques. A respected specialist in Orthodontics, her kind and compassionate approach is based on an extensive skillset and knowledge, ensuring the very best patient outcomes. She has always enjoyed sharing her knowledge of orthodontics and she truly enjoys watching patient’s confidence grow as their smiles transform. Her approach is warm and personalized, because, in her words, “every smile tells a story, and I’m here to make each one a bestseller.”
In her free time, Dr. Sydney enjoys staying active and spending as much time as possible outdoors with her husband and their two children. Some of her favorite hobbies include spending time with family and friends, skiing, hiking and watching sporting events of all kinds.
